This look is more on the natural side since I'm going to the church and just a simple lunch out with my family. You can wear this makeup on those instances as well. Remember, unless you're going out on a night out or an event where you really need to dress up, stick to natural looking makeups. For a natural look, I often use brown and a soft pink or natural matte colored lipstick.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE

- Garnier Whitening and Even Moisturizing Cream

- Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup (Honey Beige)

- Wish Pressed Powder (Beige)

- Clinique Pressed Powder Bronzer (True Bronze)

- Nichido Powder Blush (Cool Rum)

EYES

- Love & Beauty Smokey Palette (Darker Brown and White)

- Love & Beauty Brow and Eyeliner Pencil

- Wet N Wild Color Icon Brown and Eyeliner Pencil

- L’Oreal Voluminous Naturale Mascara

LIPS

- Watsons Moisturizing Lip Balm (Strawberry)

- ELF Lipstick (Gypsy)

- Laura Mercier Lip Plumper (Wild Berry)

HOW I DID IT?

First I did was to apply the Garnier moisturizer and then applied the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup (Honey Beige) using my Marionnaud N33 Foundation brush. I, then, used the Wish Pressed Powder (Beige) to set the foundation.
For the eyes, I applied a lighter shade of semi shimmer brown on my eyelids from the Love & Beauty Smokey Palette. After blending well, I applied a darker semi shimmer brown on my crease. Blend the colors well so they won't look rough and use white for the brow bone highlights. I used the Love and Beauty Liner for my brows and lengthened them a bit. I just added a thin black line on my lids using my Wet N Wild Color Icon liner and applied the L'Oreal Mascara on my upper and lower lashes. For my lips, I applied, using my pinky finger, the Watsons Moisturizing Lip Balm (Strawberry) and then put on the ELF Lipstick (Gypsy) on my upper and lower lip. To add a bit of a shine, I used a Laura Mercier Wild Berry Lip Plumper.

For my last touches, I applied the Nichido Powder Blush (Cool Rum) on my cheek bone going slantly upwards to create an illusion that my face is longer. Again, this technique is good for people with round faces like me. Then, I used the Marionnaud N37 Brush (originally an eye brush) to make a line on my nose to make it look thinner. I applied the Clinique Pressed Powder Bronzer (True Bronze) and then I applied white eyeshadow in the middle to highlight the line I made. Blend it well so as not to look weird.

To set the whole look together and create a matte finish, I applied Wish Pressed Powder (Beige) again using my ELF Total Face brush.
Of all my looks posted, this is actually my favorite. I love how I managed to create a natural and fresh look which made my lips stand out in a noticeable pinkish natural way and makes my eyes pop out its own natural beauty.

With today’s look, I made my lips more noticeable and a little less color on my eyes. I just thickened the black on my eyes to, somehow, toughen up the whole look. This look would be great if you’re going to the office or applying for a job; but it definitely is not a natural everyday look even though it is a bit lighter than my previous look. Maybe I will try a more natural look next time; but for now, this is what I have got to offer.

HOW I DID IT?

First I did was to apply the Garnier moisturizer and then applied the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup (Honey Beige). I, then, used the Wish Pressed Powder (Beige) to set the foundation.

For the eyes, I applied first the Mary Kat Amber Blaze on the lids, the Love & Beauty Darker Brown on the crease and the White on the brow bone. I used the Love & Beauty liner to lengthen my brows and to make it a bit fuller and the Wet N Wild liner on my lids and on the waterline. Notice how I applied it a bit thicker? This is because I wanted to create a tough look on my eyes even if there is less color. I, then, curled my lashes and applied the L’Oreal Voluminous Naturale Mascara on my upper and lower lashes.

For my lips, I applied, using my pinky finger, the Watsons Moisturizing Lip Balm (Strawberry) and then put on the ELF Lipstick (Gypsy) on my upper and lower lip.

To set the whole look together and create a matte finish, I applied Wish Pressed Powder (Beige) again using my ELF Total Face brush.

So that is how I achieved today’s look. I hope you all enjoyed it. Watch out for tomorrow’s look. Might go natural because we’re just gonna go to the doctor for our year’s flu shot. Have you had yours?

This would be my new blog post series wherein I would post pictures of my look for the day, the makeup I used and how I applied it.  For this look, I focused more on my eyes. This would be a good look when you're going on one of your night out with friends.

Products Used:

FACE:

- EnCara BB Cream
- Jane Organic Sheer Tinted Moisturizer
- Wish Pressed Powder
- Nichido Powder Blush in Cool Rum

EYES

- Fashion 21's Love & Beauty Smokey Palette
- Love & Beauty Brow and Eyeliner Pencil
- Wet N Wild Color Icon Brow and Eyeliner Pencil
- Maybelline Full N Soft Mascara

LIPS

- Watsons Moisturizing Lip Balm in Sweet Strawberry
- Almay Ideal Lip Color in Pink

First I did was apply the EnCara BB Cream using a sponge I bought from Marionnaud. After applying the BB Cream, I applied the Jane Tinted Moisturizer which neutralizes the overly whitened complexion which the BB Cream gives. I, then, used a Wish pressed powder to set the foundation; but you can use any powder you prefer.

For my eyes, I first lined my brows with the Love & Beauty brow and eyeliner pencil. Then, I used the Love & Beauty Smokey palette as an eyeshadow. I applied a lighter shade of brown on the lids and then brushed off the rough sides. For the crease, I used a semi shimmery darker shade of brown and blended it well with the color on the lids and then I used white for my browbone. For my waterline, I only applied halfway using the Wet N Wild brow and eyeliner pencil and used the Maybelline Full N Soft Mascara on my upper and lower lashes.

For my cheeks, I used a Nichido powder blush in cool rum and applied it on my cheek bone going slantly upwards. This technique is good for people with round faces and will create this illusion that your face looks longer.

For the lips, I applied first the Watsons Moisturizing lip balm in Strawberry and then applied the Almay Ideal Lip Color in Pink.

This look is more concentrated on the eyes as I have applied only pink on the lips which makes it look natural.

I hope you like this look and feel free to comment or message me for any request or whatever. Till next look! ;)

In the past, the eyeliners and eyebrow pencils which I have used are those cheap generic ones or of local Philippine brand. The problem I have been having with them is that you need to apply it over and over again just so you’d see the result. It was an irritating process at first; but I have gotten used to it so what the heck, right? It’s cheap and it does the job. The bright side on this one is that I won’t have any smudged problem since, well, it easily wears off.

I have finally come to the realization that I should buy a better pencil and my first choice is the Wet ‘N Wild Color Icon Brow and Eyeliner Pencil. I bought the one in #651 Black Black shade. Yes, I use black for my brows.

The Good Bits

It claims to have a rich and creamy color which glides on smoothly without tugging. True enough I need not have to apply it over and over again just to achieve the black I want on my waterline and above my lids. As per my brows, I just need to gently brush it over and line the end only once and voila! I get the brows want. It doesn’t smudge easily so fear not if you’re going to be wearing it for hours.

The Bad Bits

Of all the pencils I have used, it is by far the longest. It is not very much of a pro to me because first, I cannot fit it into my makeup pouch and take it anywhere for retouch because of fear that it might suddenly break and because of its creaminess you have to sharpen it often because its tip gets easily flattened or shortened.

Over-all

It is a brow and eyeliner pencil which will do the job. However, I am not so sure how long the pencil itself will last because I need to always sharpen it. I will be giving it a 7/10. It is a decent pencil for which will do a good job on your brows and eyes.

How many times have we been reminded of practicing recycling? Now, how many times have you done that? Well ladies, let us all do our fair share in saving our planet even in those small things. Remember, big things start out small.

I have come to noticed that after people use an empty cosmetics canister, they just throw it off without thinking one of the rules of recycling: RE-USE. I have been using a blush with a round canister and I have been keeping this. At first, there is actually no reason why I do this. I just don’t actually like throwing stuffs which are still in good condition. Yes, even empty cosmetics canister.
For this instance, I finally found where I can use this empty round blush canister. Last BDJ Rendezvous, Garnier gave these sachets of moisturizing cream. I tried using one and of course, you cannot seal a sachet unless you put a clip on it; but it still isn’t well sealed. I managed to remember my empty blush canister. I don’t know if it would fit there; but if in case it doesn’t, I still have other canisters to put it in. So after I applied the moisturizer and still having more left in the sachet, I took my canister and squeezed it all out there. It perfectly fitted!

As I have always been saying: “beauty needs not to always be expensive”; plus you have managed to do your part in saving our planet. It’s a small thing; but we have got to start somewhere small right?

Yesterday, I bought the Love & Beauty Smokey Palette from Forever 21. Today, I tried using it on my eyes and to my Princess theme photo shoot. Below are the swatches I made for the palette itself and for the eyeliner in comparison to my other eyeliner which is the Wet ‘N Wild Color Icon brow and eye liner pencil.

As for the looks, I played with blending on my eyes and on Christine’s eyes. However, for the liner, I still prefer using my Wet ‘N Wild Color Icon. I will use the Love & Beauty eyeliner next time.

The Love & Beauty Smokey Palette from Forever 21 is easy to apply and a very user-friendly palette as everything you need from the lids to the crease line and to the brow highlights is already in the palette; plus it comes with an applicator and a pencil eyeliner.  However, you still need to have a separate brush for blending it and if you want thinner lines when applying your makeup, you might want a thinner applicator as well; but I believe it still is money well spent.

I will give it a rating of 7/10.

All Glammed Up is online Philippine based cosmetics shop which basically sells original cosmetics for less. They would be having an online auction sale in their Facebook fan page (http://www.facebook.com/allglammeduponline). Brands which will be covered by the auction sale are ELF, NYC and WET 'N WILD COSMETICS.

The auction actually already started 12mn of May 16, 2011 for the ELF Cosmetics. They will be auctioning one brand per day as to not confuse and overwhelm the buyers. The ELF Cosmetics lowest starting bid is P99.00 and I believe you cannot get a better deal than that.

So, there. If you're looking for superbly affordable cosmetics, just go to http://allglammedup.weebly.com for their official website. They also have a multiply account which is: http://allglammedupshop.multiply.com and of course, their fan page is already mentioned above.

Go shop online and get your cosmetics delivered right at your very doorsteps!

I would be coming up with a new makeup tutorial everyone! The theme for my next tutorial would be “Ganguro.” Some of you might not know what Ganguro is. Ganguro is a Japanese street fashion which emerged in the 90’s. Their look is defined by overly tanned skin with white highlights on the face. You can search Google if you want to see how Ganguros look like. Pics are below of my first Ganguro trial. I still need fake lashes and stickers to complete the look. This is my own version of Ganguro makeup. So, it might be a bit different in some part because I added a few of my own personality while keeping the original basic Ganguro look.

Looking in the mirror what is the first thing you see? Some people often spot those irritating dark eye circles which we normally call eye bags. Although this is a common problem to a lot of us, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we shouldn’t do anything about it.

I know for a fact that some of you might think that it’s no big deal or maybe you do not have to do something about it since a lot of people have them or because you think you need a lot of money to solve this problem. Well, that is why I am here! I would be sharing you tips and trick on how you can either reduce those dark eye circles in the most affordable way possible (without any surgical procedures) or just hide them.

Tip # 01: Get Some Sleep!

The number one most effective way on how you can reduce those dark eye circles is by getting enough sleep. At least 6-8 hours of sleep for my age (early 20’s) would be good. The younger you are the more number of hours of sleep recommended. According to fabric05.com, one of the reasons why people have those dark eye circles is because of insufficient sleep. Beauty sleep wasn’t called beauty sleep for nothing!

Tip # 02: Drink More Water

Dehydration is also one of the reasons for your dark eye circles. Drink 8-10 glasses of water (we have learned that ever since our elementary years in school, pretty basic.) a day to help reduce those dark eye circles and also to help maintain good looking skin.

Tip #03: Cucumbers

The reason why you see this being used all the time on your favourite TV shows or movies is because this actually helps. According to healthtalkbuzz.com, a cucumber is 90% water; therefore, it has a hydrating effect on the skin. Some researchers suggest using the cucumber after refrigerating it. The cool temperature it releases also actually helps reduce the puffiness of your eyes.

Tip #04: Teabags

All you need to do is soak the teabag in warm water and then refrigerate it afterwards. This is dual purpose as you can enjoy the tea and create a beauty treatment for your dark eye circles. After the teabag has cooled, place it on the puffy part on your eye bags or dark eye circles. It is recommended that you use green tea since it is said to be anti-inflammatory or chamomile as it helps against swelling; plus the cooling effect will help reduce the puffiness.

Tip #05: Cosmetics and Other Beauty Products

There is, currently, the Garnier Brightening Eye Roll-On  which helps reduce dark eye circles. You can try that one or simply use a good foundation and concealer to hide those dark eye circles. You can do this before applying makeup to create a smooth and blemish free looking skin.

Those are the tips I can give you on how you can reduce those dark eye circles we so don’t want to see. I hope this has been helpful. Remember, beauty requires patience and effort but doesn’t necessarily always need to be expensive! ;)

I am not a big fan of lip glosses. I find them annoying to wear on the lips as its usual overly greasy feel is kind of irritating on the lips. That is, however, just my opinion. I prefer just applying colourless balms and different coloured lipstick.

The Mac Lipglass in Gitane, however, is an exception.

The Good Bits

The Mac Lipglass in Gitane does not feel greasy upon application. It provided my lips a beautiful red glittery colour which made me look more mature and sophisticated. It also has a delicious caramel scent which I adore much.

The Bad Bits

It still is a lip gloss; therefore, it can only last up to like 4-5hours.

Over-All

I loved how its glittery dark redness blends well on my lips. Usually, I don’t use lip gloss or red lipstick. This Mac Lipglass totally made me do both and I was not disappointed. I will give it a 7/10.
