How many times have we been reminded of practicing recycling? Now, how many times have you done that? Well ladies, let us all do our fair share in saving our planet even in those small things. Remember, big things start out small.

I have come to noticed that after people use an empty cosmetics canister, they just throw it off without thinking one of the rules of recycling: RE-USE. I have been using a blush with a round canister and I have been keeping this. At first, there is actually no reason why I do this. I just don’t actually like throwing stuffs which are still in good condition. Yes, even empty cosmetics canister.
For this instance, I finally found where I can use this empty round blush canister. Last BDJ Rendezvous, Garnier gave these sachets of moisturizing cream. I tried using one and of course, you cannot seal a sachet unless you put a clip on it; but it still isn’t well sealed. I managed to remember my empty blush canister. I don’t know if it would fit there; but if in case it doesn’t, I still have other canisters to put it in. So after I applied the moisturizer and still having more left in the sachet, I took my canister and squeezed it all out there. It perfectly fitted!

As I have always been saying: “beauty needs not to always be expensive”; plus you have managed to do your part in saving our planet. It’s a small thing; but we have got to start somewhere small right?

Yesterday, I bought the Love & Beauty Smokey Palette from Forever 21. Today, I tried using it on my eyes and to my Princess theme photo shoot. Below are the swatches I made for the palette itself and for the eyeliner in comparison to my other eyeliner which is the Wet ‘N Wild Color Icon brow and eye liner pencil.

As for the looks, I played with blending on my eyes and on Christine’s eyes. However, for the liner, I still prefer using my Wet ‘N Wild Color Icon. I will use the Love & Beauty eyeliner next time.

The Love & Beauty Smokey Palette from Forever 21 is easy to apply and a very user-friendly palette as everything you need from the lids to the crease line and to the brow highlights is already in the palette; plus it comes with an applicator and a pencil eyeliner.  However, you still need to have a separate brush for blending it and if you want thinner lines when applying your makeup, you might want a thinner applicator as well; but I believe it still is money well spent.

I will give it a rating of 7/10.

All Glammed Up is online Philippine based cosmetics shop which basically sells original cosmetics for less. They would be having an online auction sale in their Facebook fan page (http://www.facebook.com/allglammeduponline). Brands which will be covered by the auction sale are ELF, NYC and WET 'N WILD COSMETICS.

The auction actually already started 12mn of May 16, 2011 for the ELF Cosmetics. They will be auctioning one brand per day as to not confuse and overwhelm the buyers. The ELF Cosmetics lowest starting bid is P99.00 and I believe you cannot get a better deal than that.

So, there. If you're looking for superbly affordable cosmetics, just go to http://allglammedup.weebly.com for their official website. They also have a multiply account which is: http://allglammedupshop.multiply.com and of course, their fan page is already mentioned above.

Go shop online and get your cosmetics delivered right at your very doorsteps!

I would be coming up with a new makeup tutorial everyone! The theme for my next tutorial would be “Ganguro.” Some of you might not know what Ganguro is. Ganguro is a Japanese street fashion which emerged in the 90’s. Their look is defined by overly tanned skin with white highlights on the face. You can search Google if you want to see how Ganguros look like. Pics are below of my first Ganguro trial. I still need fake lashes and stickers to complete the look. This is my own version of Ganguro makeup. So, it might be a bit different in some part because I added a few of my own personality while keeping the original basic Ganguro look.

Looking in the mirror what is the first thing you see? Some people often spot those irritating dark eye circles which we normally call eye bags. Although this is a common problem to a lot of us, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we shouldn’t do anything about it.

I know for a fact that some of you might think that it’s no big deal or maybe you do not have to do something about it since a lot of people have them or because you think you need a lot of money to solve this problem. Well, that is why I am here! I would be sharing you tips and trick on how you can either reduce those dark eye circles in the most affordable way possible (without any surgical procedures) or just hide them.

Tip # 01: Get Some Sleep!

The number one most effective way on how you can reduce those dark eye circles is by getting enough sleep. At least 6-8 hours of sleep for my age (early 20’s) would be good. The younger you are the more number of hours of sleep recommended. According to fabric05.com, one of the reasons why people have those dark eye circles is because of insufficient sleep. Beauty sleep wasn’t called beauty sleep for nothing!

Tip # 02: Drink More Water

Dehydration is also one of the reasons for your dark eye circles. Drink 8-10 glasses of water (we have learned that ever since our elementary years in school, pretty basic.) a day to help reduce those dark eye circles and also to help maintain good looking skin.

Tip #03: Cucumbers

The reason why you see this being used all the time on your favourite TV shows or movies is because this actually helps. According to healthtalkbuzz.com, a cucumber is 90% water; therefore, it has a hydrating effect on the skin. Some researchers suggest using the cucumber after refrigerating it. The cool temperature it releases also actually helps reduce the puffiness of your eyes.

Tip #04: Teabags

All you need to do is soak the teabag in warm water and then refrigerate it afterwards. This is dual purpose as you can enjoy the tea and create a beauty treatment for your dark eye circles. After the teabag has cooled, place it on the puffy part on your eye bags or dark eye circles. It is recommended that you use green tea since it is said to be anti-inflammatory or chamomile as it helps against swelling; plus the cooling effect will help reduce the puffiness.

Tip #05: Cosmetics and Other Beauty Products

There is, currently, the Garnier Brightening Eye Roll-On  which helps reduce dark eye circles. You can try that one or simply use a good foundation and concealer to hide those dark eye circles. You can do this before applying makeup to create a smooth and blemish free looking skin.

Those are the tips I can give you on how you can reduce those dark eye circles we so don’t want to see. I hope this has been helpful. Remember, beauty requires patience and effort but doesn’t necessarily always need to be expensive! ;)

I am not a big fan of lip glosses. I find them annoying to wear on the lips as its usual overly greasy feel is kind of irritating on the lips. That is, however, just my opinion. I prefer just applying colourless balms and different coloured lipstick.

The Mac Lipglass in Gitane, however, is an exception.

The Good Bits

The Mac Lipglass in Gitane does not feel greasy upon application. It provided my lips a beautiful red glittery colour which made me look more mature and sophisticated. It also has a delicious caramel scent which I adore much.

The Bad Bits

It still is a lip gloss; therefore, it can only last up to like 4-5hours.

Over-All

I loved how its glittery dark redness blends well on my lips. Usually, I don’t use lip gloss or red lipstick. This Mac Lipglass totally made me do both and I was not disappointed. I will give it a 7/10.
